Certificate of Title (of CT Reference)
Certificates of title are government records of property ownership. Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) holds the information on all certificates of title. There are different types of titles and it's a good idea to check them closely. Most properties will be freehold but other types of title include:

- company lease or license.
