Angela Perry: Manager Borrower Interface

Angela has a strong retail banking background specialising in lending, management, sales and marketing. She has 10 years experience in the banking and finance sector, including 2 in the UK. On her return to New Zealand she was General Manager of a boutique call centre recruitment company, a subsidiary company of Debbie Graham & Associates Ltd. More recently she moved across to Debbie Graham & Associates to specialise in executive recruitment in the banking and finance sector.

Ben Glenn

Ben Milsom and Glenn Riddell have joined the Fundit team to bring their experience in developing innovative financial products to the Fundit platform. As the new face of Fundit they'll be working on improvements to the existing fundit.co.nz system to give you more choice and better value in mortgages, as well as developing some exciting new products - so keep your eyes on us. We're excited to have them on-board.

Glenn and Ben are no strangers to the world of innovative ideas in finance and banking, being the Co-Founders of Nexx, an online start-up bringing social lending to New Zealand.

Ben brings to the table a five year cache of experience gained from a previous technology-services startup and work in the uncharted waters of open source ERP system consulting and development, as well as working with community groups in the Auckland region. Glenn has worked with a number of New Zealand companies and not-for-profits in roles as diverse as Treasurer and developing web-based CRM and ERP systems, as well as brief stints completing more fulfilling projects with international NGOs such as the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh.

Ben and Glenn both studied at the University of Auckland (Economics/Finance and Engineering/Law respectively), and were in 2007 the winners of Spark, The University of Auckland Entrepreneurship Challenge and New Zealand's largest business plan competition.

Fundit's shareholders are Alan A'Court, Eion Edgar, John Gilks and Peter McDermott. Alan, Eion, John and Peter are also directors of Fundit.

Alan A'Court

Alan was, until recently, a partner at Russell McVeagh specialising in banking and finance law. He brings to the project 33 years' experience in the finance sector.

Eion Edgar

Eion Edgar

Eion is the chairman of Forsyth Barr, one of New Zealand's largest independently owned investment houses, and director of a range of other companies. He was formerly Chancellor of the University of Otago, is President of the New Zealand Olympic Committee, and a member of foundations and trusts including the Arts Foundation of New Zealand, Central Lakes Trust, Foundation for Youth Development and the Halberg Trust. Eion has been awarded the Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, the Distinguished Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, and an Honorary Doctorate of Laws. He was named New Zealander of the Year by NBR in 2004 and was one of the six 2004 laureates in the Business Hall of Fame.

John Gilks

John Gilks

John is Deputy Chair of Fisher & Paykel and a director of a number of other companies including Port Otago and Dunedin City Holdings. He's the founder and former Chief Executive of Motor Trade Finance Limited, and former director of The National Bank of New Zealand, Arthur Barnett and The Electricity Corporation of New Zealand. John was recently made a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. He is also Chairman of the Dunedin Rhododendron Festival Trust, Trustee of the Otago Air Ambulance Trust and a Member of the University of Otago Applied Sciences Advisory Board.

Peter McDermott

Peter McDermott

Peter has a background in banking and finance and most recently held senior positions at Bank of New Zealand and National Australia Bank. He has had extensive banking experience in both New Zealand and offshore markets, and studied financial innovations at Harvard Business School. Peter is a director of a number of private companies.

Kent Gardner

Kent Gardner

Kent Gardner is a partner and Chief Executive of Evans Randall. He joined the group in 2001 and brings considerable commercial, legal and taxation experience to the group. In addition to his role in the group's management and strategic direction, Kent manages the negotiation, structuring and execution of transactions and the creation of strategic joint ventures with co-investors.

Kent has led more than £6 billion of transactions for the group ranging from complex multi jurisdictional structured financings to private equity and property transactions including the acquisition, lease back and subsequent sale of ABN AMRO's Headquarters in London and the joint venture with IVG Immobilien AG to acquire 'the Gherkin' at 30 St Mary Axe.

Prior to joining Evans Randall, Kent was at New Zealand law firm Russell McVeagh. Kent holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1995.

Paul Kendrick

Paul Kendrick

Paul Kendrick is a partner and Chief Financial Officer of Evans Randall. He joined the group in 1999 and is responsible for analysing and leading the investments we make and determining the value of those transactions to us and our investors and for maintaining our banking relationships. Paul has a detailed understanding of the world's capital markets and the forces that drive them. This has enabled him to bring significant value added to the transactions we invest in and to the strategic direction of the company.

Prior to joining Evans Randall Paul was Director, Principal Finance for Daiwa Securities in London, with responsibility for originating and structuring principal finance transactions. Before joining Daiwa, he was Vice President, structured finance and Head of UK & Ireland derivatives marketing for Bank of America in London.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Massey University, New Zealand. He qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in Wellington, New Zealand.
